Esthetek has been in business for one year now! Thanks to everyone for supporting!
Just wanted to share some of the results from our first influencer campaign:
This was our first time collaborating with influencers on social media, and I have to say it was a pretty fun process and drove a lot of traffic to our social media and website!
The most successful one was Stefanie Joosten (@stefaniejoosten), who played the character "Quiet" in the videogame Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain. We got a huge amount of traffic and even some flow into the conversion funnel from her post.
Normally, I don't acknowledge anything remotely toxic but I did want to briefly address something that came up in the comments:
Haha, I know it was snark, but I liked it because of the absurdity of it. There were a couple more "overprotective" comments, I think because the post was under "Paid Partnership." Just to make things clear guys, if you meet certain guidelines decided by Instagram, you are REQUIRED by the FTC to use the "Branded Content" label anytime you are doing any sort of sponsored content. It doesn't matter if they only payment you received was the product as a gift, or a small amount of money. So no, esthetek does not have a marketing budget of anywhere near $1m (yet ;)). We also have no interest in forcing anyone to take jobs they don't want ^^;
Big thanks and shoutout to @cestvrai_, @karlaloveshine, @seina.tsukimori, @meriamgonzalez, and @supmikecheck for the awesome posts and exposure!!
One last note I do have to say about influencer marketing in general though, is that I would advise anyone interested in it to vet your influencers very carefully. Be cautious about "professional" influencers and ones that approach you (versus you approaching them). It's best to focus on people who have an engaged and authentically grown audience versus accounts that pumped their followers and buy likes to become a full-time pro influencer.
On another topic, I hired help managing our Instagram account and I have to say I have mixed opinions about that. I am considering cutting ties with the current help and hiring my friend to be social media manager. Will save that for another post though...!
Working on new product nonstop, hopefully it will drop before the end of 2018!!! Also be on the lookout for more influencers posts in the future. And customers are always welcome to send me their photos wearing their shirts to post on our social media ^___^
